South Africa shoot for Lonely Planet Traveller Magazine

Hot off the press today is the latest issue of Lonely Planet Traveller Magazine featuring a story I shot in South Africa. Arriving in Cape Town, my first task was to recce a suitably dramatic landscape in the Hex river valley so that I could shoot the Blue Train - South Africa's answer to the Orient Express - as it travelled south the following day. After bagging the shot the next morning I then raced by car back to Cape Town to join the Blue Train for the next twenty-four hours as it speed its way north to Pretoria. The next leg of our journey took us to Kruger National Park where I managed to photograph four of Africa's big five in just a day and half. We then had a gruelling ten hour drive to the Zulu battle fields of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift followed by hikes in the Drakensburg Mountains. We finished off our trip in the surreal landscape of the Wild Coast.
