Images of Rio de Janeiro

All eyes will be on Brazil over the next month for world cup 2014. Over the years I have been lucky to shoot in Brazil several times, both for my own projects and on commissioned jobs. I was there last october for ten days shooting a magazine story and I have to say that it one of my favorite places to be.

Catalonia for Lonely Planet magazine

The April Issue of Lonely Planet magazine is just out and it features a travel story I was commissioned to shoot in Catalonia, Spain. The trip was actually back in August 2011when I spent ten days with travel writer Anthony Ham driving around this lovely part of the world. Tapas is featured prominently in the story, which of course meant we sampled a lot of this delicious Catalan food.

Travel Photographer of the Year 2011 nomination

Got some good news last week, I have been nominated in one of the categories in the Travel Photographer of the Year awards 2011 for my shot of marching Penguins on the Falkland Islands. The story was commissioned by Lonely Planet magazine. The shoot was a mixture of landscape, people and wildlife. I have never photographed animals in the wild before so it’s great to be nominated in this prestigious award. I posted some images from this job in October, here is the nominated image and some more shots not previously posted.

Marrakesh for Lonely Planet Magazine

Back in  april I was commissioned to photograph Marrakesh for Lonely Planet magazine. The story is now published in this month's issue and features the amazing colour and hustle and bustle of the main square and surrounding souks.
