The weekend

I photographed and filmed these old friends enjoying a sunny summer's weekend in London last month. There is nothing quite like shooting street cast models to capture authentic moments and connections.

The Challenge, my first short film

The Challenge from michael heffernan on Vimeo.

The Challenge is the story of three very bored kids who transform their day with a contest that sees them exploring home, garden, and beach. This is a collaboration with William Morgan, talented photographer and now film maker. Big thanks to Kate John for Styling and make up and to Mahalia John who shot some great B roll. The Haughton kids were marvellous just being themselves. Ian Phillips-McLaren did an amazing job with the edit, grade and sound. The film can also be viewed on my website www.michaelheffernan.com
